As an Accounts and Administration Officer, you will ensure that an office is organised and daily tasks are completed efficiently. You will have a wide range of duties to complete, including dealing with the company’s day-to-day accounting procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Dealing with the company’s day-to-day accounting procedures.
- Generating invoices and follow-up payments.
- Acting as a point of contact for customers, clients, or suppliers via email, over the phone or in person.
- Responding to questions and requests for information
- Organising filing systems and updating office databases
- Ordering office equipment, such as stationery, printer refills etc
- Processing invoices, tracking receipts and other basic bookkeeping tasks
- Completion of VAT returns and end of Month/Year Reporting
- Accounting for Expenses
- Administration of contractor invoices
- Processing Deposit Refunds
- Processing and preparing Landlord statements
Requirements
- AAT certificate or related accountancy qualification is not essential but would be an advantage
- High Level of IT literacy with good experience with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Customer-focused approach at all time
- Ability to communicate clearly on the phone and in writing
- Able to work independently but also as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build immediate rapport, is essential
- Attention to detail
- A positive approach to all tasks is essential
- Highly motivated
Working hours
- 20 hours per week
- 1000 – 1500 hrs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
